In Iran, 40 people have been arrested following a strike declared by truck drivers.
Human rights organizations have reported on the incident.
According to the information, among those detained are not only truck drivers but also social media activists and civilians who expressed support for them.
They have been formally charged, and criminal cases have been opened against them.
The truck drivers’ strike began on May 22 and has since spread to over 150 cities.
The protesting drivers are objecting to the reduction of fuel quotas, high insurance premiums, and low freight rates.
