In addition, "Reuters" news agency also published similar report.

Reuters, citing unnamed Iranian sources close to the government, wrote that Iran had sent a message to the United States that it would retaliate against Israel.

"In a new message addressed to the United States, Iran said that it will respond to Israel's attack on its country's consulate in Damascus in a way that will not increase regional tensions and conflict," the publication noted.

In the message, America was assured that Iran will not act hastily because it wants a ceasefire in Gaza.
