Local media reported on this.

Although Azerbaijani philanthropists began construction on the hospital five years ago, the project was left unfinished after the Raisi administration took office.

Locals claim that, despite living in the city for 20 years, they must travel dozens of kilometers to Tabriz for the most basic medical care.

Malik Rehmati, the governor of East Azerbaijan, issued a statement following the issue's public disclosure.

He stated that there was a problem, and they approached the Ministry of Health for a solution, as well as the construction of a 95-bed hospital.
