"Our objective is to prosecute those who commit crimes in Iran." Javaid Rahman

According to the UN special rapporteur on human rights in Iran, he is looking into issues like women's rights, according to an interview with an Iranian foreign opposition news agency.

He explained the Fact-Finding Committee's objectives regarding human rights violations in Iran: "The goal is to protect the evidence and eventually bring it to the stage of prosecution.

By implementing specific mechanisms, we hope to ensure that those who commit crimes against humanity won't evade justice."

The UN special rapporteur claims that international jurisdiction is one of the accountability mechanisms. The prosecution will proceed if there is enough proof. This was evident during Hamid Nouri's trial in Sweden."

It should be remembered that in the summer of 1988, Hamid Nouri, an assistant prosecutor, was charged with participating in the mass execution of political prisoners housed in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj, Iran.

Hamid Nouri testified during the trial, and the Stockholm court sentenced him to life in prison.
