Why did Israel target Isfahan?

Isfahan is home to Iran's nuclear facilities, including the underground Natanz uranium enrichment plant.

The airbase near Isfahan has long housed a fleet of American-made F-14 Tomcats purchased prior to Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution. These two facts explain why Isaril targeted Isfahan. The media has revealed some interesting facts about the Natanz object.

The Natanz facility consists of both above-ground and underground buildings. Following the failure of JCPOA negotiations with the Biden administration, Iran is thought to have relocated sensitive parts of its uranium enrichment facility underground. This object is believed to be 80–100 meters beneath the ground.

According to the most recent images shared from the Natanz facility, there are four separate underground entrances, both east and west.

Natanz is heavily defended by various types of air defense weapons. Attacking Iran's nuclear facility is seen as a difficult mission for Israel. However, with fully equipped F-15EXs and C-130s flying at low altitudes, KAMIKAZE attacks on multiple entrances to these facilities are possible.

Furthermore, Israel no longer considers the United States to be its protector. It appears that Israel is abandoning traditional methods in the fight against Iran.
