The number of Iranian tourists visiting Istanbul was announced

Iranians were the third most common foreign visitors to Istanbul in the first two months of 2024.

This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye.

During this period, Istanbul received 2 million 457 thousand 518 foreign tourists, an increase of more than 8% over the same period in 2023.

In February, 75 thousand 312 Iranians visited Istanbul.

According to the Ministry, more than 438 thousand Iranian citizens visited Türkiye as tourists in January and February. The number increased by 94% over the same period last year.

During the spring holidays, the number of Iranian tourists visiting Türkiye reached a record high.

Starting on March 18, due to the large number of people who want to cross to Türkiye from the Bazargan border point of the West Azerbaijan province, problems have risen in the operation of the customs.

It is worth noting that Türkiye is the most popular holiday destination among Iranians.
