The group, which previously operated in Iraq and Syria, has now become active in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

According to information, one of the main leaders of "Kata'ib Hezbollah" in Central Asia is Muhammad Ali Burhanov, also known by his alias, Sayed Hamid al-Tajiki.

Burhanov and his operatives receive special support from Quds Force’s Department 400, with the personal involvement of Housein Rahmani and senior Department 400 official Hossein Rahban, who recruit young militiamen. He collaborates also with Jihadists, ISIS, and the Taliban.

The representative of the terrorist group, Mahammadali Burhanov, studied at Tehran's Al-Mustafa University.

That University is a center for the education of radical young people from 60 countries of the world and their involvement in serving the political-ideological interests and terrorist plans of Iran.

The United States and Canada have sanctioned Al-Mustafa University due to its involvement in the training of terrorist goons.

Al-Mustafa University is thought to have the biggest budget of any Iranian university, having spent $100 million a year on funding in 2000.
