The international Bahá'í Community has shared this information.

The Baha'i women were sentenced to 90 years in prison for "propaganda against the government," "insulting the leader of Iran and the founder of the revolution," and "participating in missionary activities contrary to Islam's Sharia."

In addition, they were fined, and some of them were ordered to forfeit their property at the expense of the government.

It should be noted that, despite the fact that there are over 300,000 Baha'is in Iran, the religion is not officially recognized by the Iranian constitution.

According to a decision made by Iran's Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, those who practice the Baha'i faith are not eligible for citizenship.
