US had no involvement in Israel’s attack

The White House responded to Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs' claim that America was involved in the attack by calling his statements "empty claims."

In an April 2 briefing, National Security Adviser John Kirby responded to the question "Does the US expect Iran to get revenge?"

“I personally cannot say a word about what plans the Supreme Leader or IRGC have for revenge. Frankly speaking, we had no contact about the attack on Damascus. We never had such a plan.”

The advisor also emphasized: "We are investigating the incident. But as always, we are serious about protecting the lives of our forces and our institutions in Iraq and Syria. We will do whatever is necessary for protection."

It should be noted that Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, claimed on April 2 that the United States was involved in Israel's attack on the country's consulate in Damascus and should be held accountable.
