One such admission came from Mohammad Javad Zarif, a former foreign minister and member of Masoud Pezeshkian's election headquarters.

He mentioned on his X account that the majority of citizens are dissatisfied. "The majority of citizens do not participate in elections because they are bitter; on my part, I apologize to the people for what has occurred thus far," Zarif stated.

The former minister, who stated that voter turnout was low, attributed this to people's dissatisfaction with the government and urged them, "If you do not want to emigrate, vote."

It should be noted that voter turnout in the previous presidential elections was approximately 39%.

The second round of the election will take place on July 5, as no candidate received the required number of votes in the first round.

In the second round, Masoud Pezeshkian, who received the most votes in the first round, will face Said Jalili.
