Iranian media reported on this.

Masoud Pezeshkian, Tabriz's representative in the Iranian parliament and one of six people registered to run in the Guards Council of Iran's presidential elections (Shurayi Nigahban), published his first post about the elections.

The Azerbaijani candidate used his X account to launch his propaganda campaign with the hashtag "For Iran."

It is noteworthy that out of the 80 individuals who put themselves forward for the presidency, only six received the Council of Guardians' approval.

The list of candidates did not include the names of former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and former Speaker of Parliament, Ali Larijani.

The candidates for Iranian president are Vice President Amir-Hossein Ghazizadeh Hashemi, Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Tehran Mayor Alireza Zakani, the former interior minister, Mostafa Pourmohammadi, the representative of the Iranian leader in the Supreme Security Council, Saeed Jalili, and the representative of Tabriz in the Iranian parliament, Masoud Pezeshkian.
