Activists Ayaz Seifkhah and Araz Aman, who are currently under arrest in security unit No. 209 of Tehran's Evin prison, were tortured.
This was reported by the family members of the activists.
According to them, the security forces used physical force against the activists to get confession.
“Araz Aman’s teeth are broken and Ayaz Seifkhah has difficulty walking due to a severe injury to his left leg,” the family members said.
In addition, both activists were isolated from other prisoners and kept in solitary cells.
Security officers arrested Araz Aman and Ayaz Seifkhah on February 6 and 8 in Tabriz.
The activists were interrogated in Tabriz's security detention center for a few days and then transferred to Tehran's Evin prison.
On March 6, Ayaz Seifkhah's brother Ahad Seifkhah was arrested.
It is reported that he was detained in order to pressure Ayaz Seifkhah and force him to make a false confession.
There is no information about the reason for the arrest of the activists and what they are accused of.
