Azerbaijani dance teacher and cultural activist was summoned to court

Peyman Ebrahimi, Azerbaijani dance teacher and cultural activist living in Tabriz, was summoned to the Court of Appeal.

The activist shared information in his social media.

According to the information, the official notice of lawsuit is related to prison sentence issued against him, which is 22 months and 17 days sentence.

Peyman Ebrahimi was arrested on August 26,2023 and was temporarily released on October 25, 2023 in return for a bail of 300 million Iranian tomans.

He was accused of “propagandizing against the system by spreading video materials in cyberspace” and “insulting the leader of Iran”.
