The sources reported that intense fighting took place in the mountainous area of Mount Dungeh, near the villages of Chah Ahmad and Arzantak.

Both sides reportedly used light, medium and heavy weapons. The IRGC deployed additional forces to the area, and clashes were still ongoing at the time of reporting.

Footage circulating online appeared to show large numbers of armored vehicles and military personnel heading toward the scene.

Meanwhile, government forces reportedly established fortified positions along a highway near Zahedan, the provincial capital.

Local sources speculated that the number of casualties could be high, citing the deployment of numerous ambulances to the area. However, the IRGC stated that five armed individuals had been killed. The total number of casualties has not been independently confirmed.
